Alright, so I am going to try to make cuter pictures from now on…
Now that I got that off my chest, to this super tasty, low-carb, protein packed snack!
What you need:
16 oz pack of ground turkey (I use 97/3)
Oats of your choice (I used 1 cup of oat bran)
Shredded cheese (I used Cheddar…yum)
Garlic Powder (yes…notice my trend. You can use Mrs. Dash or any seasoning you want just note if for calories)
I mixed all of these ingredients together in a large bowl. I grabbed a muffin tray and applied olive oil spray into each serving section. I set the oven to 400 and bake mode, and portioned out the turkey mix into each space. I filled each space with mix because shrinking will happen.
I popped them into the oven for about 20 minutes – looking for brown crisping on the top. I took them out and split one in half just to make sure it was cooked all the way through. BAM! Now you are ready to have a super tasty snack on-the-go or use it for a full blown meal. Enjoy!
